MINDDRIVE is an experiential learning program for at-risk youth in Kansas City, Missouri. With the MINDDRIVE social fuel campaign the kids built a fully functional electric vehicle and drove it across US to highlight the need for educational reform. This campaign generated awareness on social media to provide ‘social fuel’ for the car’s journey. The more tweets, likes, mentions and comments the further the car could be driven. The campaign resulted in over 39M social media impressions and nearly half a billion earned media impressions across the world.
Top three take-aways:
– Innovative use of technology & digital marketing
– Levering social buzz drove worldwide recognition
